Auto Electrician | Cape Preston | 2/1 FIFO

About the Role

MACA Mining is looking for Auto Electricians to join its maintenance team at the Sino Iron project at Cape Preston, about 100 km south-west of Karratha in the Pilbara. Sino Iron is Australia's largest magnetite mining and processing operation. The role works a 2/1 FIFO roster of 7 days, 7 nights and 7 days off, and both full-time and casual rates are available.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair and maintain electrical systems on heavy mobile mining equipment
• Work on a fleet that includes a Liebherr 9800 excavator plus Hitachi and Bucyrus MT4400 haul trucks
• Carry out air conditioning work on machines where required
• Follow work health and safety procedures on every job
• Work independently and as part of the site maintenance crew

About You

• Australian recognised Certificate III in Automotive Electrical Technology
• Experience on heavy mobile mining equipment such as Hitachi, Liebherr or Bucyrus
• An air conditioning ticket and experience are preferred
• HR driver's licence preferred; EWP and DG high risk work licences are desirable
• Good communication skills and a self-motivated approach
