BCI Minerals is hiring a Wash Plant Operator for its Mardie Salt Operation and Potash Project on the West Pilbara coast of Western Australia. This is a permanent full-time FIFO position, working from the new Mardie Village while on site. The operation is moving from construction towards its first salt shipment, so the role suits someone who enjoys a start-up setting and helping to build processes and procedures from the ground up. Key Responsibilities
- Run the wash plant safely and efficiently, monitoring and controlling performance through SCADA/DCS control systems
- Adjust plant settings to hold production rates and product quality as conditions change
- Carry out routine inspections, pick up equipment faults and inefficiencies, and coordinate troubleshooting and repairs with the Production and Maintenance teams
- Record operating data such as flow rates, temperatures and product moisture, and report plant performance and incidents to the Production Supervisor
- Help coordinate raw salt feed and product dispatch, and give clear shift handovers
- Put forward continuous improvement ideas for productivity and reliability
About You
- Experience operating a wash plant or a similar mineral processing facility
- Experience monitoring and interrogating an HMI control system
- Construction Induction Card (WA White Card)
- Current first aid and CPR qualification
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel, Outlook and SharePoint
- A national police clearance no older than six months
- Unrestricted working rights in Australia
