About the Role
Mitchell Services is expanding its Underground Energy Division and is hiring experienced underground in-seam gas drillers to join its drilling crews. The role runs on a 7 days on, 7 days off roster. You can fly in fly out from an agreed point of hire, or drive in drive out if you live within an acceptable distance of site. This is a full-time position paid as an annual wage with bonuses.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete in-seam gas drilling programs safely and efficiently, following safe work instructions and site procedures
- Carry out pre-start checks on rigs and equipment before each shift
- Report hazards, incidents and near misses as they happen
- Record breakages, maintenance needs and any developing issues
- Keep clear communication with your supervisor and crew throughout the shift
About You
- Proven experience as an underground in-seam gas driller (essential)
- Open manual car licence (C class)
- Able to obtain a current First Aid and CPR certificate
- Underground Standard 11 is desirable
- Physically fit and able to pass a functional assessment
