Underground Blasting Equipment Technician | WA and SA Mine Sites | 8/6 FIFO

Orica is looking for a Technician for its underground blasting equipment (HcD Technician), servicing underground mining customers across Western Australia and South Australia. The role is FIFO with departure points in Adelaide, Melbourne, Brisbane, Kalgoorlie or Sydney, on a choice of 8 days on, 6 days off or 15 days on, 13 days off. You keep Orica's underground charging machinery running safely and reliably on customer sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Service and maintain underground blasting and charging equipment
- Diagnose and fix mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults
- Respond to breakdowns and provide technical support to site customers
- Complete inspections, scheduled maintenance and commissioning of new units
- Keep accurate service records and maintenance reports
About You
- Hands-on experience maintaining plant or mobile equipment
- Trade qualification in auto electrical or mechanical fields
- Working knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems
- Comfortable solving problems independently on a remote mine site
- Clear communicator with a strong safety mindset
