About the Role
PLS is hiring an experienced Shotfirer for its Pilgangoora lithium operation near Marble Bar in the Pilbara. The role works an 8/6 roster, flying in and out of Perth, with a DIDO option for people living in the Pilbara. You will load and fire open pit blasts to plan and take responsibility for explosives on site. Applications close on 27 November 2026.
Key Responsibilities
- Load and fire open pit blast holes in line with the blast plan
- Act as the appointed Shotfirer and Magazine Keeper
- Account for all explosives and complete magazine and shot reconciliations
- Carry out pre-blast and post-blast inspections, including tie-ins and misfire checks
- Set up clear delineation and signage before every firing
About You
- At least one year working as an open pit Shotfirer
- A current WA Shotfirer's Licence and a Dangerous Goods Security Card
- Experience with electronic initiation systems (EIS)
- A current HR driver's licence
- Able to pass police, medical, and drug and alcohol checks, with the right to work in Australia
