About the Role
BHP's Maintenance West team at Port Hedland is hiring Scraper Technicians to look after the conveyor belt cleaners across its iron ore port facilities. The role is FIFO from Perth with a choice of 8/6, 7/7 or BHP's Dynamic roster of 182 shifts a year, published four weeks in advance. It is a mechanical trade role focused on scraper and plough systems on the conveyor network.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute scheduled maintenance to documented procedures
- Inspect, maintain, rebuild, troubleshoot, install and change out scrapers and ploughs
- Inspect conveyor and roller equipment across the plant
- Operate workshop equipment safely and keep the workspace to standard
- Record work in SAP and Fiori and take part in team meetings and pre-starts
About You
- Certificate III mechanical trade qualification
- Prior conveyor belt cleaner maintenance experience in heavy industry
- Knowledge of Flexco and Hosch products is preferred
- Strong safety focus, attention to detail and comfort with repetitive tasks
- A flexible, team-first attitude
