Project Geologist - Underground Mine | Kathleen Valley | 8/6 FIFO

About the Role

Liontown is hiring two experienced Project Geologists for its geology team at the Kathleen Valley Lithium Operation in Western Australia's northern Goldfields. Reporting to the Senior Geologist, you will plan and run underground diamond drilling programs and help build the grade control and structural models for a high-grade underground mine. These are permanent full-time roles on an 8/6 roster, flying in and out from Perth.

Key Responsibilities

• Design drill requests and contribute to drill scheduling with geology leadership and mine planning
• Analyse drilling performance and lead improvements
• Manage drilling administration, including plods and daily compliance tracking
• Log core geologically and structurally, and mentor junior geologists on logging standards
• Validate drilling data and support the database, including assay QAQC
• Contribute to wireframing, geological and structural modelling
• Support geometallurgical test work and bring results into the models

About You

• Degree in geology or earth sciences
• Experience in underground production or project geology
• Skilled in underground drill design and management, core logging and QAQC
• Confident with Datamine StudioGEO and acQuire
• Willing to mentor junior team members, with good communication skills
• Manual Australian driver's licence
• Able to obtain a National Police Clearance and pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol screen
