About the Role
B2Gold is hiring a Drill and Blast Planner for the underground operation at its Back River Project, home of the Goose mine, in Nunavut, Canada. The role is full-time on a 3x3 fly-in fly-out rotation and reports to the Senior Mine Engineer (Underground). The stated salary is CAD 153,500 a year. Applications close 11 November 2026.
Key Responsibilities
- Design drill and blast plans for underground stopes and development headings
- Work on stope optimisation and reconcile blast results against design
- Carry out underground QA/QC inspections of drilling and charging
- Report on dilution, recovery and drill and blast cost KPIs
- Plan ventilation raises and service holes
About You
- At least three years in hard rock underground mining, including one year in drill and blast
- Degree in mining engineering or a related field
- Engineer in Training status with NAPEG, or eligible for it
- Working knowledge of Deswik CAD and UGDB
- Legally entitled to work in Canada
