About the Role
Covalent Lithium is hiring a Mining Engineer for its Mt Holland mine, which sits between Southern Cross and Hyden in WA. The role is permanent full-time on an 8/6 roster, FIFO from Perth. You will support the Technical Services team with short and medium term planning and help oversee the mining contractor's performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver the 48 hour, two week and monthly mine plans
- Produce mine, landform and drill and blast designs, with QA/QC on the results
- Contribute to quarterly, life of mine and budget planning
- Assess and evaluate the mining contractor's claims
- Prepare geotechnical data for the planning process
About You
- Two to five years in open pit hard rock mine planning, with lithium experience preferred
- Hands-on drill and blast experience
- Skilled with Deswik, Vulcan, Alastri and Shotplus
- A degree in mining engineering or equivalent
- C class manual driver's licence
- A WA Quarry Manager's Certificate is desirable
