About the Role

PLS is looking for a permanent, full-time Mining Supervisor at its Pilgangoora lithium operation in the Pilbara, listed under Marble Bar. The role works an 8/6 and 7/7 roster across days and nights, flying in and out of Perth, or drive-in drive-out for people based in the Pilbara. Reporting to the Mining Superintendent, you will lead the safe and efficient running of the mine, manage incidents, support the leading hands and develop your crew. Key Responsibilities

  • Keep every crew compliant with site health and safety requirements and build a team based safety culture
  • Manage, coach and give clear direction to direct reports so work is carried out as planned
  • Own the weekly mine plan, attend the daily and weekly plan meetings and deliver it
  • Manage and report operational and people metrics
  • Work with the training team to lift the operating standard of the mining fleet
  • Help reduce the environmental impact of the operation and contribute to life of mine planning

About You

  • Proven leadership in open cut mining operations and projects, ideally hard rock
  • Strong knowledge of mining equipment, processes and safety compliance, including WA DMIRS guidelines
  • S26 Statutory Supervisor qualification
  • A record of meeting production targets safely
  • Current manual C class licence (HR licence preferred) and a National Police Clearance
  • Certificate II or III in RII surface extraction and HLTAID003 first aid are desirable
