About the Role

BHP has a vacancy for a Mine Scheduling Engineer at Olympic Dam, its large underground copper, uranium, gold and silver operation about 560 km north of Adelaide. You join the Short-Term Scheduling team on an 8 days on, 6 days off roster, and you can choose to live in Roxby Downs, drive in and drive out, or fly in and fly out. The site is moving its short-term scheduling into Deswik Ops, so you will help shape how that works. Applications close on 12 November 2026.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain a rolling 28-day underground mine schedule, working toward a two-month horizon
• Bring mine area plans together with execution, planning and technical teams
• Track the week-zero schedule and keep crews focused on the critical path
• Look into schedule variances and escalate risks with clear analysis
• Support longer-term mine plans and improve scheduling processes

About You

• A mining engineering degree or related qualification, with solid operational experience
• Scheduling or planning experience in hard-rock underground mines
• Knowledge of sub-level open stoping, underground ventilation and mine services work
• Confidence with Deswik and Microsoft Office; Power BI and SAP are a plus
• Willingness to complete BHP's pre-employment checks
