About the Role
Orica is looking for MCU Operators to join its crew at the Cannington underground mine in north west Queensland. The role runs on an 8 days on, 6 days off roster and is offered as FIFO or DIDO, with camp accommodation and meals provided on site. Operators run Orica's Mobile Manufacturing Units to deliver blasting products to development and production headings.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate Mobile Manufacturing Units and related equipment underground
- Deliver blasting products safely and efficiently in development and production areas
- Give operational support and technical advice to the customer and site teams
- Do routine equipment inspections and help with preventative maintenance
- Keep accurate operating records and complete required paperwork
About You
- Experience running heavy vehicles, mobile plant, underground equipment or similar machinery in a safety critical setting (mining, construction, transport, agriculture or defence all count)
- A Heavy Rigid licence, or the ability to get one
- Charge-up, explosives delivery or electronic blasting experience is an advantage
- Able to obtain a Queensland Explosives Security Clearance and pass pre-employment checks
- Mechanical aptitude and good communication with crew and customers
