About the Role

Komatsu Australia is hiring a Customer Product Support Advisor for its Rio Tinto contract in the Pilbara. The role is on an 8:6 roster, day shift only, flying in and out of Perth. You will look after the fleet health of all Komatsu equipment on site and give hands-on technical help to the maintenance crews. Komatsu asks that applicants live in Perth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Track daily machine downtime and forecast scheduled downtime
  • Give on-the-job technical help with fault finding, major component change outs and maintenance and operating practices
  • Help resolve parts sourcing and technical information issues
  • Assist with warranty administration and repairs on dealer machinery
  • Monitor machine systems, optimise performance and provide weekly site updates

About You

  • A trade or engineering qualification or background
  • Sound knowledge of Komatsu loaders
  • Mine site experience in WA
  • Strong problem solving, negotiation and customer service skills
  • A firm commitment to health and safety and the ability to work remotely at the customer's site
