About the Role
Macmahon's Surface Mining Australia business needs a Maintenance Supervisor at the Tropicana gold mine in Western Australia's Great Victoria Desert. The roster is 8 day shifts on and 6 off, then 7 nights on and 7 off, flying in and out from Perth or Kalgoorlie. You will lead the maintenance crews that keep a large open cut fleet running safely.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervising maintenance crews and coordinating planned, breakdown and shutdown work
- Mentoring tradespeople and apprentices and supporting upskilling
- Working with contractors, OEMs and site stakeholders on operational goals
- Leading by example under WHS legislation, standards and procedures
- Finding and delivering improvements in safety, productivity and efficiency
About You
- Experience in a similar supervisory role on a mine site
- A recognised Australian trade certificate and more than five years maintaining heavy mobile plant
- S26 competency under WA legislation, or actively working towards it
- Familiarity with Caterpillar, Hitachi and Komatsu earthmoving equipment
- A current manual C class licence; SAP or maintenance system skills are a bonus
