Long Hole Driller | Mungari near Kalgoorlie | 7/7 FIFO/DIDO

About the Role

Evolution Mining is hiring a Long Hole Driller for the underground mine at its Mungari Operations near Kalgoorlie, which has a mine life to at least 2038. The role works a 7:7 roster of 12 hour day and night shifts and reports to the Underground Shift Supervisor. You can choose FIFO with village accommodation, DIDO, or live locally in Kalgoorlie with live-local incentives.

Key Responsibilities

• Drill production long holes safely and accurately to specification with mechanised rigs
• Read mine plans and drill to line, gradient and profile
• Set up, operate and troubleshoot Epiroc long hole rigs to keep downtime low
• Complete thorough pre-start inspections and keep equipment safe through the shift
• Communicate with supervisors and crew to hit production targets

About You

• At least 5 years of underground mining experience with strong production exposure
• At least 12 months operating Epiroc production long hole drill rigs
• Pride in drilling to plan and a strong safety record
• Mechanical aptitude to spot and report equipment problems early
• A current C class manual driver's licence and willingness to work 7:7 days and nights
