About the Role

Coronado Global Resources is hiring an HST Officer for its Health, Safety and Training team at the Curragh North open cut coal mine near Blackwater in Queensland's Bowen Basin. It is a fixed term contract until August 2027. You can drive in and out from the Capricorn Coast or Mackay and surrounds, or live locally in Blackwater. The ad does not state a roster. Coronado may interview before applications close.

Key Responsibilities

• Support safety initiatives and campaigns on the ground
• Take part in field leadership interactions, inspections and hazard observations
• Help supervisors put the safety and health management system in place
• Collect safety, health and hygiene monitoring data and track corrective actions
• Support incident reporting and coordinate safety training and inductions
• Keep records current in Damstra, First Priority and other systems, and update safety dashboards

About You

• Mining or heavy industry experience is desirable but not essential
• Experience with training systems
• A basic understanding of safety systems and procedures
• Strong communication skills
• First Priority, Mine Record, Damstra, ChemAlert or SAP experience is an advantage
