About the Role
Sodexo is hiring Head Chefs to lead kitchens at remote mine site villages in the Northern Territory. This is a permanent full-time role on a 2:2 roster, described in the ad as 14 days on and 14 days off, flying in and out from Darwin, with 11 hour shifts. You will run bulk catering for village residents and look after food quality, safety and budgets. Candidates need to live in Darwin or be willing to relocate there at their own cost.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead bulk cooking operations on remote sites to high quality and safety standards
- Manage kitchen profitability, budgets and HACCP food safety compliance
- Build and develop a diverse kitchen team
- Keep strong working relationships with the client
- Be flexible across a range of duties and sites throughout the Northern Territory
About You
- Trade certificate or Certificate III in Commercial Cookery
- Proven experience leading a team in mass catering, including breakfast, dinner, crib and pastries
- Strong HACCP knowledge, leadership and organisational skills
- Australian citizenship, permanent residency or full working rights
- Able to pass a police check, and a Working with Children check where required
