HD Fitter | St Ives near Kambalda | 8/6 and 7/7 FIFO

About the Role
Gold Fields is seeking an experienced Heavy Diesel Mechanic for the maintenance team at St Ives Gold Mine, 20 kilometres southeast of Kambalda in Western Australia. The roster is 8/6 and 7/7 across days and nights, either residential or FIFO from Perth. You will inspect, service, maintain, diagnose and repair a modern fleet of heavy mobile mining equipment. This is a permanent role.

Key Responsibilities
- Carry out preventative and planned maintenance, inspections, servicing, fault diagnosis and repairs on Caterpillar, Komatsu and Liebherr heavy mobile equipment
- Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults to keep downtime low
- Work to OEM specifications, site procedures and statutory requirements
- Complete work orders, parts requisitions and labour records in SAP and other maintenance systems
- Order the parts and materials needed for maintenance work
- Respond to breakdowns and assist with major component replacements and scheduled shutdowns
- Help train and mentor apprentices and trainees

About You
- A Certificate III in Mobile Plant Technology or equivalent Heavy Diesel trade qualification
- A current C Class driver's licence
- Experience maintaining Caterpillar, Komatsu and Liebherr heavy mobile mining equipment
- Strong fault-finding skills across mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems
- SAP or similar maintenance system experience is highly regarded
- A Section 26 Statutory Supervisor Certificate, or willingness to obtain one, is highly regarded
- High Risk Work Licences and tickets including Forklift, Dogging, EWP, Crane and Apply First Aid are highly regarded
