BHP's Maintenance West team is looking for a Fixed Plant Electrician to work across its Pilbara iron ore processing plants. This is a permanent position, fly-in fly-out from Perth on BHP's Dynamic 182 roster, and you will rotate between Yandi, Area C, South Flank, Jimblebar and Newman Operations rather than being tied to one site. Key Responsibilities
- Maintain fixed plant electrical equipment across extra low, low and high voltage systems
- Diagnose, test and report faults so critical production equipment keeps running safely
- Install, repair and upgrade cables, electrical infrastructure and plant equipment
- Provide electrical support through plant ramp down and ramp up
- Carry out HV radial and LV isolations
- Inspect and test protection systems, RCDs and shutdown safety controls
About You
- Qualified electrician with a current WA Electrical Licence
- Current Australian driver's licence
- Experience in mining or heavy industrial electrical maintenance
- A strong problem solver who works well alone and in a team
- Safety focused, proactive and committed to continuous improvement
