Electrical and Instrumentation Technician | Dugald River near Cloncurry | 8/6 FIFO/BIBO

About the Role

MMG is hiring an Electrical and Instrumentation Technician for its Dugald River zinc mine in north-west Queensland. Sitting in the electrical maintenance team, you will keep fixed plant running for the mine and processing plant. The role is permanent and full-time on an 8/6 day shift roster, with night shift as required. Travel is FIFO from Brisbane or Townsville, or bus in bus out from Cloncurry or Mount Isa. Key Responsibilities

• Maintain fixed electrical and instrumentation infrastructure to statutory standards
• Keep assets reliable so the site meets its daily and weekly production targets
• Fault find and maintain fixed plant, including in the processing plant when needed
• Carry out repairs, installations, servicing, overhauls and commissioning in a hard rock underground setting

About You

• Dual trade certificate in Electrical and Instrumentation, with 3 to 5 years post-trade experience
• Experience with HV switchgear, ring main units, motor controls, VSDs, Schneider PLCs and process instrumentation
• SAP or a similar maintenance system is highly regarded
• Able to meet the site facial hair standard for respirator fit testing
• Fit for work under a zero tolerance drug and alcohol policy
