Drill Fitter | Gruyere Gold Mine | 2/1, 2/2 or 8/6 FIFO

About the Role

Ausdrill has won a major drilling contract at Gruyere Gold Mine, a large open pit operation in the Yamarna Greenstone Belt about 180km from Laverton in Western Australia, and is building a new maintenance team to look after the drill fleet. This Drill Fitter role is FIFO from Perth, and you can choose a 2/1, 2/2 or 8/6 roster. No closing date is listed, so apply early.

Key Responsibilities

• Service, repair and carry out planned maintenance on Epiroc DML, Pantera 1500 and Rock Commander drill rigs
• Find and fix faults across hydraulic, electrical and mechanical systems
• Respond to breakdowns and get rigs back into production quickly
• Work alongside drillers and supervisors to keep the fleet reliable
• Follow site safety and compliance standards on every shift

About You

• Australian recognised Heavy Duty trade certificate
• Current Australian HC licence
• Experience as a Drill Fitter or HD Fitter on open pit drill rigs, ideally Epiroc, Pantera or similar
• Strong diagnostic and fault finding skills
• Able to pass a pre-employment medical with laboratory drug and alcohol testing and a National Police Clearance
• Full, unrestricted Australian working rights (visa sponsorship is not offered)
