Control Room Technician | Pilgangoora, Pilbara | 8/6 and 7/7 FIFO/DIDO

About the Role

Pilbara Minerals (PLS) is looking for a Control Room Technician on a maximum term contract at its Pilgangoora lithium operation in the Pilbara. The role runs the Mid-Stream plant from the control room on an 8/6 and 7/7 roster, FIFO from Perth or DIDO from within the Pilbara region, reporting to the Production Supervisor. Applications close 18 October 2026.

Key Responsibilities

• Running the Mid-Stream plant safely and to plan within its operating limits
• Monitoring and controlling the process through DCS and SCADA, and responding to alarms and upsets
• Carrying out start-ups, shutdowns and isolations to procedure
• Keeping accurate logs and giving clear shift handovers to operations, maintenance and engineering
• Supporting commissioning, ramp-up, root cause analysis and continuous improvement
• Coaching operators and helping write work instructions and troubleshooting guides

About You

• Proven control room experience on fixed plant in mining, processing or refining
• Strong DCS and SCADA skills, including diagnosing alarms and trends
• Start-up, commissioning or ramp-up experience is valued
• A good grasp of process safety, chemical hazards and environmental compliance
• A current WA C class licence and full Australian working rights; working at heights, confined space and first aid are desirable
