Sodexo is recruiting experienced Chefs for its remote mining camp kitchens, flying or bussing in from Sydney on a 14 days on, 7 days off roster with 11-hour shifts. Both casual and permanent opportunities are available, and high performers in casual roles are offered permanent placement. You cook across breakfast, crib and dinner services in a busy camp environment that keeps mining communities fed.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and present meals across breakfast, crib and dinner services
- Cook in a high-volume catering kitchen
- Maintain food safety and HACCP standards
- Deliver consistent quality and presentation
- Work as part of a supportive kitchen team
About You
- Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery
- Experience in bulk catering or high-volume kitchens
- FIFO, DIDO or remote site experience is desirable but not essential
- Strong food safety and hygiene knowledge
- Able to work independently and as part of a team in remote conditions and varying weather
- Able to pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol test
- Full Australian working rights
