About the Role
Sodexo is hiring experienced Chefs for its regional Queensland operations, cooking in busy village kitchens that feed mining communities. These are FIFO roles from Townsville on a 14:7 roster, working 11-hour days. Casual and permanent opportunities are available, and Sodexo says strong casual performers can move into permanent roles.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare meals for breakfast, crib and dinner services
- Cook in a high-volume catering kitchen
- Keep food safety and HACCP standards in every service
- Deliver consistent quality and presentation
- Work as part of a supportive kitchen team
About You
- Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery
- Experience in bulk catering or high-volume kitchens
- FIFO, DIDO or remote site experience is desirable but not essential
- Strong food safety and hygiene knowledge
- Able to pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol test
- Full Australian working rights
