About the Role

Civeo is hiring a qualified Carpenter for its Asset and Facilities Maintenance team, based out of the Coppabella village in Queensland's Bowen Basin and travelling between villages in the region. The roster is 7 days on, 7 days off, with FIFO available from Brisbane, the Gold Coast, Sydney or Melbourne and a drive-in drive-out option for locals. This is a permanent full-time position with a stated salary of $107,640 plus superannuation. No closing date is listed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Reactive, planned and preventative carpentry maintenance across village buildings and infrastructure
  • Fault finding, repairs, refurbishment and general construction work
  • Reading drawings, specifications and work orders, and preparing layouts to building code
  • Keeping maintenance records and work orders up to date
  • Liaising with contractors and suppliers on repairs and installations
  • Supporting general maintenance across the villages and taking part in on-call cover while on swing

About You

  • Certificate III in Carpentry
  • Current Class C manual driver's licence
  • Hands-on maintenance, fault finding and repair experience
  • Remote village, mining or high-volume service background preferred
  • Working knowledge of building codes, safety and compliance standards
  • Comfortable with maintenance systems and work order management
  • Able to pass a pre-employment medical and a National Police Clearance, with valid Australian working rights
