Auto Electrician | Newman Mobile Workshop | 8/6 and 7/7 FIFO

BHP Operations Services is recruiting Auto Electricians for the Mobile Maintenance Workshop at Newman West in the Pilbara. This is a FIFO role from Perth on a roster of 8 days on, 6 days off followed by 7 nights on, 7 nights off. You work mainly in a well-equipped workshop rather than in the field, and you stay at the same camp each swing.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out scheduled and reactive maintenance on the electrical systems of heavy mobile mining equipment
- Use diagnostic tools and software to find electrical faults
- Manage spare parts for the equipment you maintain from on-site and off-site warehouses
- Work to site OH&S standards and support a safety-focused team culture
- Equipment includes CAT 793F, 789C and 793C haul trucks, CAT 994 wheel loaders, CAT 785 water carts, CAT 789 float prime movers and Haulmax 3900 service trucks
About You
- Skilled auto electrician with heavy haulage or mining equipment experience
- Willing to complete BHP's pre-employment checks, which may include police checks, medical, drug and alcohol testing, right to work and reference checks
