Assistant Village Manager | WA Mining Village ex Perth | 8/6 FIFO

About the Role

Sodexo is looking for Assistant Village Managers to support village operations on a major mining contract in Western Australia. You will work FIFO from Perth on an 8:6 roster with 12 hour days. Reporting to the Village Manager, you will help run the village day to day, lead teams and act as a safety leader on site. Sodexo lists the position as a contract role.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Village Manager in running all village operations
• Lead and build teams, and handle conflict and negotiation with care
• Promote safety and apply HSE and HR legislation on site
• Spot areas for improvement and put new systems, policies and procedures in place
• Help deliver projects across the village

About You

• People management and project management experience with diverse teams
• Remote site experience is highly desirable; general manager level hospitality experience also counts
• A business minded, big picture thinker (direct experience in the same role is not essential)
• A current full WA manual driver's licence, which is mandatory for site vehicles
• Willing to complete CPR and first aid, snake handling and fire warden training
• Able to pass a medical and police check
