About the Role
Catalyst Metals is hiring Charge-Up Operators for the underground at its Plutonic Gold Mine in the Eastern Gascoyne region of WA. The role is full time, FIFO from Perth on an 8:6 and 7:7 roster. Production is ramping up as more mining areas move from development into stoping, and you will charge development headings and stopes to design using a modern Sandvik fleet.
Key Responsibilities
- Transport, handle and charge explosives safely in development and production areas
- Load blast holes to design in development and production headings
- Install and connect initiation systems to procedure
- Inspect ground conditions before charging
- Follow all explosives regulations and site procedures
- Work closely with drillers, supervisors and blasting engineers
- Keep accurate records of explosives used and holes loaded
- Support safe blast clearance and firing
About You
- A current shotfirer's licence or recognised explosives handling certification
- A current Dangerous Goods Security Card
- A current manual C class driver's licence
- Proven experience in underground charge-up or blasting
- Careful, procedure driven work habits in high risk conditions
