About the Role
Sandvik Mining is hiring a Field Service Technician to look after its underground equipment at customer mine sites across Western Australia. The role is FIFO from Perth on an 8:6 roster, working 12-hour day shifts only. Applications close on 6 November 2026.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned and breakdown maintenance on Sandvik underground loaders, trucks and drills
- Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and control system faults
- Complete scheduled safety and reliability inspections
- Keep accurate service records covering parts, labour and machine condition
About You
- A trade qualification as a Heavy Duty Fitter or Auto Electrician
- Experience on underground equipment, ideally drills, loaders or trucks
- Sandvik experience is an advantage but not required, including LH and TH series machines and the AutoMine and OptiMine systems
- A manual driver's licence (essential)
- Willing to travel interstate or overseas for training
- Able to pass a pre-employment medical, police and reference checks, and ongoing drug and alcohol testing
