Underground Electrician | Granny Smith near Laverton | 8/6 and 7/7 FIFO

Gold Fields is looking for a permanent Underground Electrician at its owner-operated Granny Smith Gold Mine near Laverton in Western Australia. The role runs on an 8/6 roster that rotates with 7/7, flying in and out of Perth on a direct flight of about an hour. You will report to the Electrical Coordinator and keep the mine's underground electrical and communications systems running safely and reliably.
Key Responsibilities
- Find and fix faults on high voltage and low voltage systems underground
- Carry out planned maintenance and repairs on underground mining equipment
- Maintain the pumping and ventilation networks
- Look after key surface infrastructure and associated fixed plant
- Keep work areas safe, clean and tidy at all times
About You
- A trade qualification as an electrician
- HV switching certification
- A current manual C class driver's licence
- Current LVR and CPR certificates
- Solid experience maintaining underground electrical systems on mining equipment and surface fixed plant
