About the Role
Gold Fields is hiring an underground Service Crew operator for its Granny Smith gold mine near Laverton in Western Australia. The role is FIFO from Perth on a rotating roster of 8/6 on days and 7/7 on nights, with a direct flight of about an hour to an hour and a half. You will report to the Supervisor Underground Production and keep the services that run the mine in good order.
Key Responsibilities
- Install and maintain underground ventilation, water, power, compressed air and pump systems
- Operate EWPs, integrated tool carriers, light vehicles and hydraulic equipment
- Carry out inspections and preventative maintenance to limit downtime
- Support development and production crews to keep work safe and on schedule
About You
- Underground experience as a nipper and truck driver
- A strong safety focus and a team-first attitude
- Physically fit and used to demanding conditions
- Current manual driver's licence
- Current Dangerous Goods Security Card and Working at Heights
- A satisfactory National Police Clearance
