About the Role
Komatsu is looking for an experienced Mobile Plant Mechanic or Diesel Fitter to join its Mount Isa branch on a FIFO arrangement from Townsville. You fly to Mount Isa for seven days on, with flights and accommodation provided, then home for seven days off. Shifts run Wednesday to Tuesday, 5:30am to 5:30pm, providing field service across customer mine sites around Mount Isa and Cloncurry. Applications close 3 November 2026.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out scheduled maintenance, servicing and repairs on Komatsu equipment
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults
- Handle breakdowns and repairs safely and efficiently
- Travel between customer sites across the Mount Isa region
- Complete accurate service reports and maintenance records
About You
- Trade qualification as a Mobile Plant Technician or Diesel Fitter, or equivalent
- Previous Komatsu experience (essential)
- Mining experience is highly regarded
- Strong fault-finding across mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems
- Good understanding of mine site HSE requirements
- Able to work independently with customers
