About the Role
Northern Star Resources needs a Mechanical Leading Hand at its Thunderbox operation in the northern Goldfields of WA. The role is FIFO from Perth on an 8 days on, 6 days off rotation. Reporting to the Mechanical Supervisor, you will help lead the fixed plant maintenance team and make sure work is done safely and to statutory and company standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain fixed plant equipment safely and in line with company standards and procedures
- Deliver work to schedule, scope and quality standards
- Order parts and materials for work orders and raise issues early
- Suggest mechanical improvements for the processing plant
- Help manage team performance and coach less experienced tradespeople
About You
- A relevant mechanical trade qualification
- Fixed plant leading hand experience and proven leadership skills
- Fault finding and diagnostic experience
- Hydraulic and pneumatic experience is highly regarded
- Valid C class Australian driver's licence, with Schedule 26 desirable
- Able to pass a medical, drug and alcohol screen and a national police clearance, with Australian work rights
