Covalent Lithium is hiring a Mechanical Fitter for its Mt Holland lithium mine and concentrator in Western Australia. This is a full time, permanent position flying in and out of Perth. The roster runs three swings of 8 days on and 6 off, followed by 7 on and 7 off. You will look after the fixed plant that keeps the concentrator producing, working within the site's safety, environmental and statutory standards. No closing date is listed.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned and breakdown maintenance on fixed plant to keep it reliable and producing
- Work on conveyors, ball mills, crushers and slurry pumps
- Spot and suggest changes that improve equipment reliability and work procedures
- Keep equipment to the standard needed for Mt Holland to hit its production targets
- Build good working relationships with your supervisor, crew and other departments
About You
- Certificate III in a mechanical trade
- At least two years of fixed plant maintenance experience
- Current Western Australian C class driver's licence
- Forklift, dogging, HR licence, EWP, HDPE poly welding and CN crane tickets are a plus

About Covalent Lithium
Covalent Lithium is a joint venture between Wesfarmers and SQM that mines and refines lithium in Western Australia, from the Mt Holland mine and concentrator through to its refinery at Kwinana. Mt Holland is running at full production and an approved expansion is set to double spodumene concentrate output from the Earl Grey deposit.
