Catalyst Metals is hiring a full-time Mechanical Fitter for the processing plant at its Plutonic Gold Mine in the Eastern Gascoyne region of Western Australia. The role is on an 8/6 roster, FIFO from Perth, and reports to the Fixed Plant Maintenance Supervisor. You will keep the plant reliable through planned, preventative and breakdown maintenance as part of a close maintenance team.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned, preventative and breakdown maintenance on fixed plant across the processing plant and site infrastructure
- Diagnose and repair faults on mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Complete inspections, condition monitoring and asset reporting
- Help with shutdowns and major repairs in line with site safety procedures
- Keep maintenance records accurate and suggest improvements to plant performance
About You
- A trade qualification in Mechanical Fitting and Machining
- Experience maintaining fixed plant in mining, processing or heavy industry
- Strong fault finding across mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- A current WA C class driver's licence
- Forklift, basic rigging and Franna tickets are highly regarded
