Light Vehicle Mechanic | Barrow Island | 2/2 FIFO

About the Role

Downer's Energy and Utilities business is hiring a permanent full-time Light Vehicle Mechanic for Chevron's Barrow Island site off the Pilbara coast of WA. The role works a 2:2 roster with FIFO from Perth Airport. You will keep a varied fleet of light vehicles, minibuses, forklifts and site assets safe and ready for work. Applications close 31 October 2026.

Key Responsibilities

• Service and maintain light vehicles, minibuses, forklifts and other site equipment
• Find faults, respond to breakdowns and complete planned maintenance
• Keep maintenance records up to date in MSD
• Manage parts and inventory
• Look after workshop tools and equipment

About You

• Trade qualified light vehicle (motor) mechanic
• Valid driver's licence, with C class or HR preferred
• White Card
• Working at Heights, EWP or tyre fitting tickets are desirable
• Experience with light vehicle fleet diagnostics and repairs
• Able to work independently and prioritise tasks
