About the Role
Barminco has won the underground mining contract at the Bellevue Gold Mine, about 40 km north-east of Leinster in the Northern Goldfields, and is hiring Leading Hands for its underground service crew. The role is full-time and permanent on a 7/7 or 14/14 FIFO roster. Bellevue is a high-grade underground gold operation that started commercial production in 2024, and much of its power comes from an on-site hybrid renewable station.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the underground service crew through each shift
- Coordinate mine services such as ventilation, dewatering, compressed air and water
- Make sure work follows site safety procedures, permits and mine standards
- Allocate tasks, check work quality and coach crew members on the job
- Run pre-starts, toolbox talks and hazard identification in work areas
- Work with supervisors, maintenance and production crews on daily priorities
- Report equipment defects, incidents and delays, and keep accurate records
About You
- Service crew experience in underground mining, ideally as a Leading Hand
- Current Working at Heights ticket
- Sound knowledge of underground mining processes and safety standards
- Clear communication with a wide range of people on site
- Able to meet site access requirements, including a medical, drug and alcohol test, National Police Check and a manual driver's licence
