ESS, the remote sites arm of Compass Group, is hiring permanent Hospitality Allrounders for mining villages in Queensland's Surat Basin. The roster is 14 days on, 7 days off with 10 hour days, either FIFO from Brisbane or drive-in drive-out for locals from Roma, Miles, Chinchilla and nearby. Flights from Brisbane, accommodation and meals are supplied. You rotate across kitchen and dining, housekeeping and mine site cleaning as the village needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Kitchen and dining: dish and pot wash, restocking, cleaning equipment and floors, chemical handling, stock unloading, dining room cleaning, bar restocking, till operation and serving drinks
- Mine site cleaning: offices, toilet blocks, tea shacks and crib huts, rubbish removal, restocking, strip and seal
- Housekeeping: linen packs, bathrooms, bed changes, linen trolleys, dusting, mopping and vacuuming
About You
- Background in hospitality, kitchen hand work, commercial cleaning or housekeeping
- Able to work 10 hour days in a fast-paced environment
- Flexible across utility roles as required, working in a team or on your own
- Driver's licence and reliable transport are desirable, as is an RSA
- Physically fit and able to pass a medical and drug and alcohol screen
