MinRes is hiring a permanent full-time Heavy Vehicle Fitter for its Onslow Iron operation in the Pilbara. You will work an 8 days on, 6 off, 7 nights on, 7 off roster, flying in from Perth on a Friday, and report to the Workshop Supervisor. The work centres on the road train fleet of Kenworth C509 prime movers, which run Cummins ISX engines, Eaton UltraShift gearboxes and heavy Sisu diffs. Applications close on 5 November 2026.
Key Responsibilities
- Keep the Kenworth C509 fleet roadworthy and cut downtime to a minimum
- Carry out general servicing and preventive maintenance
- Complete component change outs
- Respond quickly to breakdowns and get trucks back on the road
- Work alongside fitters, auto electricians, boilermakers and trades assistants in a 15 bay undercover workshop with hoists
About You
- A trade qualification recognised in Australia or New Zealand
- Strong diagnostic, fault finding and preventive maintenance skills
- A firm commitment to safety and quality work
- Cummins Insite experience and an air conditioning licence are highly regarded
- Unrestricted Australian work rights
