DDH1 Drilling (Perenti)About the Role
DDH1 Drilling is recruiting entry level Driller's Offsiders for exploration and client site drilling projects across South Australia and further afield. The roles are FIFO from Adelaide with flights paid, on a 2/1 or 4/2 roster depending on the site and client. No industry experience is needed: trainees are paid while they complete a fully funded Certificate II in Drilling Operations. Work is physical and outdoors, and accommodation ranges from camps to caravans, so flexibility matters. Induction is in Perth.
Key Responsibilities
- Help move the rig between set-ups
- Handle core: remove it from the tube, box it and label it
- Handle drill rods and core tubes
- Mix drilling fluid additives
- Keep equipment and the work area clean
- Assist with equipment maintenance and repairs
About You
- Unrestricted HR licence, or willing to get one before starting
- National Police Clearance from the last 12 months
- Current First Aid and CPR (HLTAID009 and HLTAID011)
- Able to pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol screen
- Fit, with manual labouring experience and happy with 12 hour shifts in remote conditions
- Australian or New Zealand residency, as this is a government traineeship
