About the Role
Barminco, part of the Perenti Group, is looking for an Auto Electrician to join its Rhino field service team in Western Australia. You will look after the electrical systems on Barminco's fleet of Sandvik Rhino raise borers at underground mine sites. The roster is 8/6 or 14/14, day shift only, and flights are offered from any major Australian city.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose, maintain and repair electrical and electronic systems on raise boring machines
- Provide field service support to underground mine sites
- Fault find and repair wiring, starting and charging systems, batteries and control circuits
- Carry out inspections, testing and preventative maintenance to keep machines available
- Respond to breakdowns in confined underground conditions and complete maintenance paperwork
About You
- A trade qualification as an Auto Electrician or equivalent
- Previous auto electrical experience, with raise borer machine knowledge
- Able to meet site access requirements, including a medical, drug and alcohol screen, National Police Clearance and a manual driver's licence
- Proof of the right to work in Australia
